Join us for a Wine Tasting and sample our CPD Training in Toowoomba…
As part of its continuing professional development programme for solicitors, the Queensland Law Society has recently granted accreditation to a course in Advanced Reading Skills called 'Superead'. This short (one-day) course is conducted by a long-established national organisation – the ICS Training Group - and is designed to provide an alternative or an adjunct to specialist legal training. Three (3) points toward professional development are awarded for successful completion of the course, which has been tailored for the legal profession and has legal material in the content. Courses will be conducted in Toowoomba at a cost of $395.00 per participant, which includes workbooks, handouts and catering. Class sizes are limited to 15 in order to provide maximum interaction. ICS Training Group will be conducting a free ‘taster’ session for principals, personnel involved in organising training and other interested staff. When: At 4:30 p.m. On Wednesday 23rd November The taster provides an overview of the content, giving an indication of what can be achieved in the course and is of two hour’s duration. The session will be followed at 6:30 p.m..by light refreshments and a Wine Expo involving a number of wineries. Why Superead?
The aim of the course is to at least double the effective reading rate of all participants. With the amount of reading required of solicitors and their staff, an improvement in speed and comprehension in the order of double provides many obvious advantages.
Brisbane participants, who include solicitors from firms such as Gadens and McCullough Robertson, have been enthusiastic about the results achieved. Further information can be obtained from Jill Richardson at the QLS or from ICS Training Group. We hope you can join us for some wine, a light snack and a taste of the Superead course.
